Reintegration

Hello everybody! First and foremost – thanks for those who have continued to order, even with the lack of updates here on this website.

We welcomed in a new member of our family this spring, so we’ve been focused on all the baby snuggles and navigating our new life as parents, hence the quiet nature of this website the past several months.

I’m slowly starting to dip my toe into coming back to this site, all while taking a step back from purchasing fleeces – I’m painfully aware we only get this stage of life once, and it takes priority over the fibre at this point.

I am, however, looking at how to slowly reintegrate Dominion Fleece & Fibre into my life, aside from just filling orders. I’m looking at potentially starting to offer finished goods in conjunction with Alberta grown and processed fibre.

The mill still has the Icelandic I’m getting processed, that’ll be a few more months (I’m so excited that my mill, Rosebud River Fibre Mill, has had such an explosion of business!). Stay tuned for that update. In the very least it’ll be spinning fibre, potentially yarn, and possibly naturally dyed yarn. We’ll see how it all shakes out.

And I may offer things like finished textiles – whether it’s woven goods or (potentially) quilts. It may be a few more years before the kiddo is big enough to come to the farm trips, so I’m not sure how much raw fleece we’ll have in the next 12 or so months.

Having said that, I’m excited, and I hope you’re excited. Thanks for sticking with me!
